Arise is a free fan companion app for the Solo Leveling anime. It provides an encyclopedia of characters, episodes, locations, and lore — all written originally and illustrated with AI-generated art. The app includes a crystal economy earned through daily engagement, a gallery of character portraits, and sharing features.

// DATA WE COLLECT

Arise collects minimal data to power the crystal economy and personalize your experience:

• •Anonymous Device ID — A randomly generated UUID stored locally on your device. Used to track your crystal balance, daily quest progress, streak, and unlocked items. This ID is not tied to your name, Apple ID, or any personal information.
• •Email Address (optional) — Only if you subscribe to the newsletter. Stored securely via Resend. Never shared with third parties.
• •Crystal Economy Data — Your crystal balance, rank, streak days, entries read, and purchase history. Stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) keyed to your anonymous device ID.
• •Ad Interaction Data — Google AdMob collects standard advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS) for ad personalization. You can opt out via iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

// HOW DATA IS STORED

Cloud data (crystal balance, quests, unlocks) is stored in Supabase with row-level security — only your anonymous device ID can access your data. Newsletter emails are stored in Resend's infrastructure. No data is sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

// ADVERTISING

Arise displays ads via Google AdMob (banners, interstitials, and optional rewarded video). AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to serve personalized ads. You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You can remove all ads permanently with a one-time $1.99 in-app purchase.

// IN-APP PURCHASES

Arise offers one in-app purchase: "Remove Ads" for $1.99 (one-time, non-consumable). This is processed entirely through Apple's App Store — we never see your payment information. The crystal economy is entirely free and earned through engagement. No real money can be spent on crystals.

// CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Arise is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app's content is based on the Solo Leveling anime (rated TV-MA) and is intended for teens and adults.

// DATA DELETION

To delete all your data, uninstall the app. This removes your local device ID and all AsyncStorage data. Cloud data (crystal balance, quests) is keyed to the anonymous device ID — once the ID is gone, the data is orphaned and inaccessible. If you subscribed to the newsletter and want your email removed, contact us at hello@shyguy.studio.
