Overview
NetOps is a network diagnostics toolkit built and distributed by Shy Guy LLC. This policy explains what data NetOps collects, stores, and transmits — and what it does not.
The short version: NetOps does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
Data We Do Not Collect
- —No analytics or usage tracking
- —No crash reporting sent to third parties
- —No advertising identifiers
- —No account registration or login
- —No data shared with third parties
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
NetOps stores the following data locally using iOS-managed storage (SwiftData and Keychain). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
- —Saved hosts and IP addresses you add to the host manager
- —Tool history — inputs and results from diagnostics you run
- —Saved tool chains you create
- —API source configurations, including bearer tokens stored in the iOS Keychain
- —SSH keys stored in the iOS Keychain with device-only access
Sensitive credentials (API tokens, SSH keys) are stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain with kSecAttrAccessibleWhenUnlockedThisDeviceOnly protection, meaning they are inaccessible when the device is locked and cannot be transferred to another device.
Network Access
NetOps makes network requests as directed by you — for example, pinging a host you enter, performing a DNS lookup, or checking an SSL certificate. These requests are made directly from your device to the target host or resolver. No traffic is proxied through Shy Guy LLC servers.
If you configure an API source, NetOps will make HTTP requests to the URL you provide using the credentials you supply. No data from these requests is stored on Shy Guy LLC servers.
Children's Privacy
NetOps is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children. As NetOps collects no personal data from any user, no special handling applies.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes materially, the effective date above will be updated and a note will be posted on shyguy.studio.
