PRIVACY POLICY

// OVERVIEW

Statora (“the App”) is developed and published by Shy Guy LLC (“we”, “us”). Statora is a gauge for a GLP-1 regimen: it keeps your weight, doses, check-ins and protein on your phone and shows you where you are.

The short version: Statora does not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. There is no account, no analytics, and no server that belongs to us. Your health data — from Apple Health or typed in by you — is stored on your device and never leaves it.

• No personal information (name, email, phone, etc.)
• No health data — nothing you log or authorize is ever sent to us
• No device identifiers or fingerprints
• No location data
• No usage analytics or telemetry
• No crash reports
• No advertising identifiers
• No account — none is required, and none can be created

// APPLE HEALTH

Statora uses Apple's HealthKit, and only with your permission. It reads the types you authorize — body weight, lean body mass, body fat, active energy, steps, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, VO2 max, dietary protein and sleep — so the gauge and its readings can use what your phone already knows, without retyping. It writes back only what you switch on in Settings: weight, caffeine, hydration, protein and lean body mass. Doses, food noise, nausea and mood stay only in Statora.

Health data is used solely to show you your own readings inside the App. It is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, never shared with a third party, and never sent to us. This is a condition of using HealthKit and it is also simply how the App is built: there is nowhere for the data to go.

// EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE

Your weight log, dose log, daily check-ins, protein entries, saved foods and progress photos are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData and the App's private container. The widget reads a small snapshot from a shared container that only Statora and its widget can open. All of it is deleted when you uninstall the App.

The keepsake image and the appointment report are rendered on your phone, into a file you own. Nothing is shared unless you share it, and if you do, it goes through the iOS share sheet to the app you choose — not through us.

// READINGS ARE COMPUTED ON-DEVICE

The patterns Statora reports are computed from your own log, on your phone. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, the short observations that accompany them are generated by Apple's on-device Foundation Model and checked against your own figures before they are shown. This runs entirely on your device. Statora does not send your data to any AI provider, cloud service, or server of ours.

The figures Statora compares your log against are published clinical summaries, cited on the App's Sources page. Following a citation opens the source in your browser; nothing about you is sent with it.

// PERMISSIONS

• Health — to read the types you authorize and write back the ones you switch on. Optional; the App works without it.
• Photos — only when you choose a progress photo, through Apple's picker, which hands the App just that one image. The copy is kept in the App's private container.
• Notifications — for the dose-due note, milestones and the optional evening reminder. All are scheduled and delivered locally; there is no push server.

// NETWORK REQUESTS

Statora makes no network requests to Shy Guy LLC — we have no backend — and no requests to any analytics, advertising, or third-party service. The App is designed to work fully offline. The only time it opens a connection is when you tap a citation on the Sources page or a link in Help & Feedback, and that opens in another app.

// PAYMENT

Statora is a one-time paid app, purchased through Apple's App Store. We never receive, process, or store any payment information — Apple handles the transaction. There are no subscriptions and no in-app purchases.

// NOT MEDICAL ADVICE

Statora is a gauge, not a coach. It describes your own data and does not diagnose, advise or replace your clinician. Nothing in this policy changes that.

// CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Statora does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The App is intended for adults managing a prescribed regimen and is not directed at children.

// CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy if the App's functionality changes. Material changes will be noted in the App Store release notes. The effective date above reflects the latest revision.
